[solved] how to resolve the PulseSecure HTML5 RDP “connected to Guacamole waiting for response” error message

This short articles walks you thru on the error message that you may get while connecting to the desktop at work using PulseSecure.  The connection issue is most likely the encryption settings on the PulseSecure user portal.  and you can change by adding a bookmark in the PulseSecure user portal.

You can see the error message below while trying to connect using HTML5

 

The error message “The remote desktop server encountered an error and has closed the connection. Please try again or contact your system administrator” is caused by encryption that is chosen by PulseSecure.

You can add the bookmark by clicking on the computer icon on left.

Below are all the settings you can do.

  1.  Add the hostname or IP address
  2. Add the credentials plus any other settings you need.

3. Set the encryption to “TLS Encryption”

Choose Add and this will add a bookmark. see below

click on the bookmark and it should now let you connect.

HTML5 does not support multiple monitors and for that you will need to use the terminal services.
