[Resolved] AWS workspaces error message “Your session was interrupted. Please wait while we attempt to reconnect.”

How to resolve a freezing AWS workspace which keeps  disconnecting with the error “Your session was interrupted. Please wait while we attempt to reconnect.”

you will need to connect to it using a different network which may be your corporate network using RDP services

Once you are logged in then you can perform the following steps

  1. Reinstall the PCoIP Agent :

To reinstall the PCoIP agent Reboot the workspace from the workspaces console

Select Workspace -> Actions -> Reboot workspace. This will re-install the PCoIP agent.

  1. Restart the Skylight service :

From within the workspace,

Click Start -> Run -> Type Services.msc -> In the Services Window, scroll down and find SkyLightWorkspaceConfigService -> Right Click  -> Restart.

There are times where sometimes the workspace keeps getting connection refused from the skylight service and even AWS support recommends rebuilding the workspace
